Resort Connection provides a new avenue for real estate agents to earn additional revenue while expanding their knowledge in the exciting and lucrative area of second home sales. Any agent can easily integrate resort sales into their business plan. Here is how it works.
First, you must be an active, licensed real estate agent. Resort Connection is not a competing real estate brokerage. In fact, Resort Connection works in tandem with your existing brokerage to help you sell more property resulting in more earnings for you and your broker.
Next, simply select one of three registration options: Agent/Member, Associate, or Associate/Member depending on your focus. Agent/Members are focused on selling resort property. Associates are focused on building their own business by recruiting and mentoring other real estate agents in selling resort property. Associate/Members are focused on both sales and recruiting. Let’s take a look at each one separately.
Agent/Member
A Resort Connection Agent/Member’s core goal is to earn additional revenue through the sale of resort property. To achieve this goal, Resort Connection has created the following resources for use by our Members:
ResortMLS - the nation’s only listing service aggregating resort properties throughout North America.
Developer Liaisons – Resort Connection staff who assist you in closing a resort sale
RC Member Marketing System – Newsletters, educational opportunities, and training materials which assist you in the promotion and sales of resort properties.
As an example, licensed agent Mark Willsell in Minneapolis, Minnesota joins Resort Connection as an Agent/Member. Mark is excited because he knows some of his clients would like to retire in the Southeast, but he had no direct avenue to market and sell resort property. Through Resort Connection, Mark can now research property, build a presentation and marketing plan, and make a sale. Mark can even contact the Developer Liaison to assist him in closing the sale and answer pertinent questions about the property. It’s like having your own sales consultant. At closing, Mark earns a referral fee that is paid through his broker in a seamless transaction. Best of all Mark’s referral fee is not a traditional broker to broker referral fee, but closer to a full commission payout!
Associate
A Resort Connection Associate’s goal is more entrepreneurial by nature. An Associate wants to build a business by recruiting, training, and mentoring other real estate agents in the sale of resort property. Associates can not sell property themselves, but can earn revenue on the sales of Memberships as well as the resort sales of their network. This can prove to be a powerful residual income stream. Resort Connection has created the following resources for use by our Members:
Resort Connection Business Kit – A quick start guide to assist you in building your Resort Connection network.
Resort Connection Business Center – Full-featured Online Management System that helps Associates build and manage their business.
Developer Liaisons – Resort Connection staff who assist Members in closing a resort sale
As an example, licensed agent Jill Network in Phoenix, Arizona joins Resort Connection as an Associate. Jill has always dreamed about starting her own sales team, but wanted to work with some of her friends at other brokerages. Jill knows she is much stronger as a leader, and would rather focus on building a team rather than resort sales. Using the Resort Connection Business Kit, Jill begins to recruit Members into Resort Connection. Not only does Jill receive compensation for building her network, she is able to participate in the sales revenue from her team’s productivity. Utilizing the Resort Connection Business Center, she can manage her team’s performance and assist them in making a sale.
Associate/Member
A Resort Connection Associate/Member’s core goal is to earn additional revenue through the sale of resort property and the building of a network of agents. The Associate/Member has access to all of the resources available to Resort Connection Member and Associates.
As an example, licensed agent Tina Topsales in Denver, Colorado has always wanted to sell resort property. However, she has been disappointed by the amount of her traditional referral commissions and has had no avenues to sell property outside the local area. Tina joins Resort Connection as an Associate/Member and immediately begins to recruit other Members. As her network expands, Tina is rewarded for each Membership she sells as well as each property her and her team sells. This creates a powerful residual income stream while creating a valuable service for her clients.
